How XCircle handles public X data, cached results, share links, browser preferences, and the providers used to run the service.

What this policy covers
This policy explains how XCircle handles information when you use the circle maker at xcircle.me. XCircle is independent of X Corp. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
You can generate a circle without signing in to X or creating an XCircle account. We do not ask for an X password, access to direct messages, or permission to publish posts.
Information used to make a circle
When you enter a username, our server requests public account information and recent public posts through FxTwitter, an independent unofficial data service. The service receives the username being requested and the technical information associated with our server's request. XCircle does not send your browser's X login cookies to FxTwitter.
The returned data may include usernames, display names, profile photo addresses, public post text, post identifiers, dates, and reply, quote, mention, or repost relationships. This information is processed to calculate the circle. Likes, private posts, and direct messages are not used in the score.
We save the generated ranking, profile information, coverage summary, and update time. Raw post text is not part of the stored circle or a share snapshot. Profile images may be requested through our server from X's image servers so they can be displayed and included in a downloadable picture.
Cached results and shared links
A complete result may be reused for up to 12 hours; a partial result is reused for up to one hour before another read is attempted. If live data is unavailable, an older successful result from the previous seven days may be shown with its original timestamp. This reduces repeated requests and helps keep the tool usable during upstream interruptions.
Creating a share link saves a snapshot containing the account, ranked people, profile photo addresses, scores, coverage summary, and your display choices. Anyone with the link can view that snapshot. A share link expires seven days after creation; the expired snapshot is no longer served through that link.
Expired cached results and share snapshots are no longer available through the service. We run daily cleanup of expired records, so a record may remain in database storage until that cleanup runs, normally within 24 hours after expiry.
Downloading an image does not, by itself, create a public share link. A downloaded file is stored on your device, and you control where you upload or share it.
Browser preferences and account features
The site can remember language, theme, and privacy choices in cookies or browser storage. If you use an optional account feature, account and session information is handled by the site's authentication system. An account is not required to generate or download a circle.
Optional audience analytics or advertising, if enabled for the site, are subject to the privacy choices shown in the interface. Hosting and security logs needed to operate the site are separate from optional analytics.
Service providers and technical records
XCircle uses Vercel for application hosting, Cloudflare for DNS and traffic protection, and Zeabur for database hosting. These providers process network and technical information needed to deliver and secure the site. FxTwitter supplies public X data; profile images originate from X's image infrastructure.
Requests may produce technical records such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, status codes, and abuse-prevention records. These are used to operate the service, diagnose failures, limit excessive requests, and protect shared resources. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.
We do not sell circle data or use your X credentials. Public information can still be personal information; please consider the people shown before sharing a picture or link.
Your choices and requests
You can change your circle's design, remove people from the picture, choose not to create a share link, clear browser storage, and save a PNG locally. Removing someone from your picture does not remove public posts from X or change another person's saved circle.
For questions or a request relating to a cached result or share snapshot, email [email protected]. Include the relevant username or share URL and explain the request. We may need information to confirm that a request concerns you. Removing content from X is handled by X; it does not automatically erase an existing downloaded image.
Changes
We update this page when our data handling changes. The date above identifies the current version. For rules about using the tool, read the terms of service.
