Opening local draft…

A banner that makes an introduction

X Header turns a few words, colors and images into a Twitter profile banner. Your design is drawn at 1500 × 500 pixels, with an optional 2× export. Keep a little space for the profile photo, make your message readable, and let the rest feel like you.

From blank space to your next header

  1. Choose an original starting design or a blank canvas.
  2. Write your headline, place a logo or companion, and check the phone and avatar previews.
  3. Download the PNG, then open your X profile → Edit profile → change the header photo.

Your design stays close

Uploaded images, text and local drafts are processed in this browser. They are not sent to XCircle or X. Clearing browser data removes the local draft; save a project file if you want a backup. Applying the finished image on X is your choice.

Questions about making an X header

How can I make a free Twitter banner without signing in?

Open XCircle’s X Header Generator, choose a template and edit the text, colors and images. Download the finished PNG without an account, X authorization or watermark. Design and export run in your browser.

What size should my X header be, and can I export it sharper?

Use 1500 × 500 pixels, the 3:1 size recommended by X. This editor also exports 3000 × 1000 PNGs. A 2× export gives text and original artwork more pixels; it cannot restore detail missing from a small uploaded photo.

How do I stop my profile picture from covering the headline?

Turn on Crop & avatar guides and preview the design on desktop and phone. Keep important words outside the lower-left avatar area and away from the top and bottom edges. These are approximate guides; X’s final crop depends on the device. Guides and the preview avatar are excluded from the PNG.

Can I write Chinese or move and rotate the text?

Yes. The editor accepts Chinese and other Unicode text, up to four lines per text layer. Choose a typeface, font size and alignment, then drag the selected layer or use the position and rotation controls. Text is fitted to its layer so it stays within the chosen width and height. Chinese uses an available browser font when the selected Latin typeface has no glyph.

Can I use my own photo, transparent logo or avatar companion?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP under 8 MB and 20 megapixels as a background, logo or companion. Transparent PNG preserves cutout edges. Background photos have crop-position and darkening controls. Upload a preview avatar to check placement; the avatar itself is not exported.

How do I save the banner to my phone and set it on X?

Choose Save to Photos to prepare the PNG, then touch and hold it and use your phone’s save option. Supported browsers also offer a file share menu. In X, open your profile, choose Edit profile, select the header photo and pick the saved image. This tool does not change your X profile automatically.

Will my design be saved, and do my photos get uploaded?

The editor saves one draft locally in this browser when IndexedDB is available. Your words and uploaded images are not sent to our server. Clear saved draft removes that stored copy; clearing browser data also removes it. Download Save project for a portable backup, then use Open project to continue on another device.

Can I undo a change or return to an earlier template?

Use Undo and Redo to step through up to 40 edits in the current session, including template changes. Changing a template replaces the layout and artwork; Undo restores the previous design. Reset design returns to the first template and can also be undone. A local project file preserves a chosen design beyond the current history.
